First Stakes-Winner for Kobayashi
You can’t underestimate a tough, fit filly in good form and the Les Ross trained Mishani Lily is just that and she proved too good for the colts when taking out the Listed BRC Dalrello Stakes (1000m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday to credit her sire Kobayashi with his first stakes-winner.
Pierro Filly Wins Listed Adelaide Guineas
The Lindsay Park racing team have always had a good opinion of Poifect and it was justified at Morphettville on Saturday when she strolled to a commanding win in the Listed SAJC Adelaide Guineas (1600m).
His first Group One win came as a four-year-old in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot with his best season coming at five where he remained unbeaten in five starts, starting in Dubai with a three-win run in February and March culminating with victory in the Group One Alquoz Sprint at Meydan.
He rounded out his career with wins in both Group One sprints at Royal Ascot - King's Stand Stakes and Diamond Jubilee Stakes, only the third horse to achieve the feat.
Blue Point was the Champion Sprinter in Europe 2019 and retired with a Timeform figure of 131.
