Impressive Trial for Celestial Legend

Celestial Legend won the Group I ATC Randwick Guineas two weeks ago and while the colts he defeated Militarize, Café Millennium and Tom Kitten are all set to contest G1 races at Rosehill this Saturday, the Les Bridge trained son of Dundeel was given a tick over trial at Randwick this morning.

Ridden quietly in the early stages by Kerrin McEvoy, Celestial Legend was allowed to stride to the line late to snatch a narrow but impressive win in the 1200m heat.

With three wins and two seconds from seven starts and prizemoney just shy of $1million, Celestial Legend heads next to the $4million Group I ATC Doncaster Handicap on April 6.

Arrowfield Stud will offer the yearling half-brother by Maurice (Jpn) to Celestial Legend as Lot 260.
