Karaka 2023 Yearling Sale Preview on Sky - Tuesday Night

Caroline Searcy’s popular and informative NZB Karaka Yearling Sale Preview returns for 2023 this Tuesday night on Australia’s Sky Thoroughbred Central – featuring yearlings by leading Australian and New Zealand sires from the best of Australasian families.

Ethereal (Aged 25 – 2001 Caulfield and Melbourne Cup winner) – with yearlings from her illustrious family featured including a filly from Supera.

The program features yearlings heading for the Karaka Sale Ring from Sunday January 29 from Cambridge Stud, Pencarrow, Hallmark Stud, Haunui Farm, Windsor Park Stud, Wentwood Grange, The Oaks, Woburn Farm and Curraghmore with the progeny bred and sold by these farms having captured some of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest races in the past 12 months.

Horses featured in the one-hour preview include colts and fillies by proven and up and coming New Zealand sires such as Savabeel, Almanzor, Proisir, Super Seth, Ocean Park, U S Navy Flag, Darci Brahma, Turn Me Loose and Vanbrugh.

Proisir is a sire on the rise.

Exciting Australian stallions also feature, including Extreme Choice, Zoustar, So You Think, Written Tycoon, from his season at Arrowfield Stud, Exceed And Excel, Dundeel, Lonhro, Magna Grecia, Microphone, Justify, Toronado, Dubious, Pierro and Russian Revolution.

The Preview airs at 7.30pm AEDST Live on Sky Thoroughbred Central in Australia (Foxtel Ch 528) with replays continuing up to sale-day and Trackside NZ will air its first showing on Wednesday January 18 at ten am.
