Newhaven Park Announce 2022 Fees

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 5

Newhaven Park have announced fees for their roster for 2022 with progressive young sire Xtravagant given a deserved fee increase.

Xtravagant (Pentire (GB) $25,000 + GST

Xtravagant

With his oldest progeny just three year-olds, Xtravagant is really starting to hit his straps producing Group II winner Lavish Girl and stakes-winner He’s Xceptional as well as Group II placed Devoted, while his second crop of two year-olds features talented filly Xtravagant Star, winner of the $2million Inglis Millennium.

“On the back of a great season so far, we believe Xtravagant still represents great value at his new fee not only as his progeny continue to amass stakes success on the track but also as a commercial stallion,” said John Kelly.

“This year his yearlings averaged $205, 000 at Melbourne Premier and $112,500 at the Inglis Classic Sale and these results were off the back of a $11,000 fee in 2020.”

With over 7% stakes horses to runners, Xtravagant is a proven source of quality performers and is completely free of Danehill blood.

Cool Aza Beel

A fast precocious Group I winning 2YO by champion New Zealand sire Savabeel, Cool Aza Beel was well received last spring covering 114 mares.

“We cannot wait to see Cool Aza Beel’s first foals hit the ground this spring,” said John Kelly.

“We are very bullish about what is to come, given he’s a top class racehorse and a quality specimen having been selected as a yearling by a great judge in David Ellis.”

Super One (I Am invincible) $16,500

Now established as a proven source of winners, Super One made his presence felt on the first day of The Championships when his four year-old gelding Another One  took out the $600,000 ATC Newhaven Park Country Championship.

“We were thrilled to see Super One produce the Newhaven Park Country Championships Final winner at Royal Randwick,” Kelly said.

“Super One has also delivered a good return on investment in the sales ring with his yearlings averaging above double his service fee this year.”

Super One also had the top seller at the 2021 Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale with a colt from Cash First selling for $400,000.
