Hat-Trick for Invincible Knight

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday May 25
A last start winner of the $60,000 Wagga MTC Guineas, progressive I Am Invincible gelding Invincible Knight made it three wins in a row when scoring in a thrilling head bobbing finish at Canterbury on Wednesday.

Invincible Knight as a yearlingFourth in the Listed Bendigo Guineas at his last run for Peter Moody in March, Invincible Knight has been in hot form for new trainer John Thompson reeling off three consecutive wins since April.

His latest success came in the Benchmark 70 event over 1550 metres and despite being burdened with 60.5 kg proved too good in scoring by a nose.

With four wins from 11 starts and nearly $140,000 in prizemoney, Invincible Knight has a bright future.

A $140,000 Inglis Premier Yearling purchase from the Bell River Thoroughbreds draft for Bill Mitchell Bloodstock, Invincible Knight is the best of four winners from winning Encosta de Lago mare Luminary, whose dam is a sister to dual Group I winner Alcove.

I Am Invincible also had a two year-old winner at Ipswich in Sir Donald and has sired five winners in the past five days.
