Three On the Bounce for Dundeel's Ain'tnodeeldun

Mark Smith - Tuesday November 3

Co-trainer Sam Freedman admitted he was initianally a bit disappointed in Ain'tnodeeldun despite the son of Dundeel winning the Listed Hill Smith Stakes at Morphettville at his most recent start. However the runner-up Victoria Quay, also by Dundeel, would frank that form when coming out to win the Group II Wakeful Stakes.

Sent off a short-priced favourite in Tuesday's Listed Tab Trophy Stakes (1800m), Ain'tnodeeldun tracked a hot speed set by Ultimate Edition but found himself in front with 300 metres left to run down the long Flemington straight.

With Damian Lane in the saddle, Ain'tnodeeldun kept up a strong gallop to turn back the challenge of the Redoute's Choice colt Confrontational by three-quarters of a length with the Tavistock gelding Grinzinger Lord two and a quarter lengths back in third.

Purchased by Anthony Freedman Racing / Blue Sky Bloodstock Pty Ltd (FBAA) for $240,000 out of the Bhima Stud draft at the 2019 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling, Ain'tnodeeldun advances his record to three wins from seven starts with earnings of $207,495.

"He got a bit lost when he got to the front, and it's a long straight to stave them all off," Sam Freedman said.

t;He might have a bit more brilliance than a Derby horse at this stage. I think we will put him away now. He has won three on the bounce and is deserving of a really good break.

"He will mature a lot. He is still just a frame at this stage, so we will look at a race like the Rosehill Guineas in the autumn."

Ain'tnodeeldun was a $240,000 Inglis Premier yearling

Ain'tnodeeldun is the best of two winners from four to race out of the Starcraft mare Ain'tnofallenstar who was herself a dual Listed stakes-winner.

Ain'tnofallenstar is also the dam of Mighty Valour (Snitzel) who was an impressive winner at Sha Tin the day after Ain'tnodeeldun captured the Hill Stakes.

Owned by Glentree Pastoral, Ain'Tnofallenstar has a yearling colt by Redoute's Choice, one of 23 live foals from the final crop of the Arrowfield champion, and on September 23 foaled a brother to Ain'tnodeeldun.
