Tara Madgwick - Tuesday February 9
Newhaven Park's promising young sire Delago Deluxe made headlines at the recent Magic Millions Yearling Sale when his first progeny made a big splash and their popularity continued at the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale where the son of Encosta de Lago was the leading first season sire by average.

Delago Deluxe filly from BelladiniDelago Deluxe had nine yearlings average $60,000, his top seller a filly from Belladini that made $105,000 for John Muir's Milburn Creek when knocked down to Triple Crown Syndications/ Snowden Racing.

She is the first foal of a half-sister by Bernardini (USA) to stakes-winner Mrs Kipling from the family of Group I stars Fairy King Prawn Easy Rocking and Cosmic Endeavour, who is by another Encosta de Lago sire son in Northern Meteor.

Other good results were a colt from Routine that made $90,000 for Newhaven Park when bought by Cliff Brown Racing and a colt from Hot Show that was also offered by Newhaven and made $80,000 when snapped up by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock.

A dual Group I winner in South Africa, Delago Deluxe is throwing some good looking individuals that have greatly impressed yearling buyers which is good news for his supporters given he stands at a fee of $11,000.
