I
Am Invincible broke new ground in South Africa on Thursday when his three
year-old filly Superwoman saluted over the staying trip of 2000 metres at Vaal.
Prepared by Gavin van Zyl, Superwoman was the first winner in South Africa for
her sire when she scored on debut back in August and has now won two of four
starts with this latest long neck victory.
A $70,000 Inglis Classic Summer Book purchase for Paul Guy's Heritage
Bloodstock from the Ambergate Farm draft, Superwoman is the seventh winner from
seven to race from Zebithea, who died last year.
Zebithea won up to 2400 metres, so that explains Superwoman's prowess at the
longer trip.
