Winning Return for Record Priced Stryker

Tara Madgwick - Thursday November 12
Talented Stryker colt Baggio resumed from a spell to score a well backed win at Gosford on Thursday for the Gerald Ryan stable.

Baggio as a yearlingA $220,000 Magic Millions purchase for Jadeskye Racing/ Gerald Ryan from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft, Baggio was the most expensive yearling from the first crop of his promising young sire Stryker.

Not beaten far in two starts back in May, Baggio was tuned up with a recent trial and turned in a pleasing performance to race just behind the leaders before forging clear to win the 1000 metre maiden by half a length.

Bred and offered for sale by Three Bridges, Baggio is the first foal of Denarii, a half-sister by Dehere (USA) to stakes-winner Instalment from the family of brilliant stakes-winning two year-olds Mirror Mirror and No Looking Back.

Three Bridges will offer the second foal from Denarii, a filly by Stryker at the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale as Lot 154.

Denarii has foaled this spring producing a colt by Magic Millions winner Unencumbered, who has been a super popular new addition to the Three Bridges stallion roster.
