Burning Front Highlights Primus

Media Release - Thursday October 8

There is just no stopping Burning Front, the dashing chestnut at Moonee Valley last Friday night racing clear to a dominant 3 3/4 length victory at his 12th run this time in!.

Burning FrontA horse who has held his form from March - saluting first up at Bendigo, the son of Primus has won another three races since then and has not once finished out of the placings.

"What a ripper of a horse he has been," enthused proud owner/breeder Justin Lovatt who stands the consistent and talented five-year-old's sire Primus at Stonehurst Farm, Strathbogie.

An eight times winner of over $238,000 in stakes, Burning Front looks to still have the best ahead of him with trainer Darren Weir looking forward to campaigning him further into the spring."He was very strong to the line and the way he won you would think that a race like the Seymour Cup would not be beyond him," he said.

Jockey Brad Rawiller was also impressed.

"He has been up such a long time now but he just keeps racing well."

"He pinged out of the gates quickly and got into a nice rhythm which he loves."

Having trained several winners by Primus, Darren Weir is a fan of the breed, noting that "like Burning Front they are tough, sound and honest."

For further information on Primus contact Stonehurst's Anne Richardson on 0425 859 407 or Justin Lovatt 0416 063 873.
