Horsetransporter is the Answer

Media Release - Thursday October 8
Ever bought a horse and then scratched your head wondering how to move it from A to B?.

Especially on transport routes you don't normally use, it has been a case of ringing around to establish which horse transport companies service these areas. Then if you are mindful of cost, a few more calls are in order to find the cheapest quote.

A new website and smart phone app (versions for both User and Carriers) which does all the hard work for you is now in full operation.

Called Horsetransporter.com.au , this platform allows you to enter the origin and destination, the type of horse to be transported (such as pregnant mare, racehorse etc) and the date you need it moved.

Horse transport companies are then alerted by Horsetransporter.com.au and invited to quote on the job. The owner is then contacted by email with quotes received and can select the one most suitable.

The equine transport equivalent of the many websites 'comparing the market' for cheap airfares, accommodation and insurance, this service is proving extremely popular with users.

How much does this service cost the end user? Nothing. A small commission is charged to the transport company with the successful quote.

Having been in operation for over a year, both transport companies and horse owners have had time to assess the service and give some valuable feedback which has seen continual upgrades and additional fields added to help both parties receive and provide the most competitive quotes.

The transport companies are also finding the service a godsend, often filling a spare bay on an upcoming trip and consequently being able to offer a cheaper price.

"We at Southern Cross Horse Transport find that quoting for Horsetransporter.com.au is easy and economical, as there are no fees unlessthe client chooses our services.

Our offices are very busy, andI can delegate the easy and stress free quoting from this websiteto one of our Team Members.

The end client knows that Southern Cross Horse Transport is the company that has quoted, and they then feel confidenttheir horse will have the very best care throughout its transport," -
said Matina Butcher, Transportation Consultant.

End users feel the same too.

Horse owner Johnny Lewis said, "I find it saves me so much time. Anyone with horses knows how busy and long their days can be - I just list my job and receive quotes directly to my iPhone. I get quotes from a variety of transporters, not just from those I've used before. Sometimes a quote comes in that is far cheaper, because they have an empty bay to fill.

"I've told all my friends about the site and now they have also signed up, as it's free. Why wouldn't they use it when it makes booking so much easier?"
