Blue
Gum Farm shuttler Canford Cliffs (IRE) has been making news at every turn in
Europe this year with a string of talented winners including Harlequeen, who became
his 23rd winner when scoring easily at Goodwood overnight.
Having her first start over a mile on soft ground, the Mick Channon trained
Harlequeen relished the task and strode away to win by more than four lengths.
Harlequeen is the fourth winner for Aurelia, a winning Rainbow Quest half-sister
to the dam of Champion Canadian Turf Horse of 2013 and Group I winner Fort Dei
Marmi.
Already the sire of stakes-winners Painted Cliffs, Most Beautiful and Aktoria,
Canford Cliffs returns to Blue Gum at a fee of $13,750.
His first Australian runners will hit tracks this season.
