This
blue-blooded Gerry Harvey homebred was an obvious pick as the 'One to Watch' for
Tuesday after opening her account at Wyong, but we won't be seeing her for a
while now as she also bled from both nostrils incurring a three month ban.
The Chris Waller prepared More Than Ready (USA) filly More Caviar was resuming
from a spell following a fourth placed debut at Hawkesbury in April and was
sent out favourite.
She did a few things wrong in the run, but still had enough ability to take the
1200 metre maiden by half a length, but on returning to scale was found to have
bled.
More Caviar is the second winner for Mr Harvey's former star racemare Lotteria,
who won eight races and nearly $1.5 million in prizemoney with Group I wins in
the AJC Flight Stakes and VRC Myer Classic as well as a brave second to Makybe
Diva in the Group I MVRC Cox Plate.
The rising 14 year-old daughter of Redoute's Choice has had a less than successful start to her career at stud and was sent to Mr Harvey's New Zealand base of Westbury Stud last year
after slipping to High Chaparral (IRE).
She was among 150 mares covered last spring by Dalakhani's imported Group I
Australian winner Reliable Man (Fr) in his second season at stud.
