One to Watch – Echuca

Tara Madgwick - Monday June 29
Fairway Thoroughbreds have been one of the most successful boutique breeders this season having produced Group I winners Vancouver and Winx, their colours carried to victory at Echuca on Monday by a Peter Moody trained first starter.

More Than ReadyTwo year-old More Than Ready (USA) filly Just One Moment created a big impression when she settled at the rear and produced a powerful finish when allowed into the clear after turning for home.

When the filly saw daylight for Linda Meech, she accelerated in impressive fashion to win by nearly three lengths and will be winning better races than this juvenile maiden over 1200 metres.

Just One Moment is a half-sister to Group III winner One Last Dance being the fourth winner from Group III winning Danehill (USA) mare One World, whose family features champion sires Storm Cat and Royal Academy.

One World has since been sent to New Zealand and from there to the USA as she was bought by US based Solis Bloodstock for $720,000 at the 2013 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale.
