The Word’s Most Commercial Stallion Page

Media Release - Thursday November 20
If you needed any further evidence to determine which contemporary broodmare is responsible for the most commercial stallion page in world thoroughbred breeding today, then consider the following: The first four foals produced by Kind (by Danehill) will all be serving at stud in the northern hemisphere in 2015!.

Dam of four individual stakes winners to date including two Cartier champions responsible for a collective 17 European Group 1 victories, Kind is the latest jewel in the crown of the all-conquering Juddmonte Farm broodmare band. The feats of her first handful of foals have virtually become legendary, leading to the latest major development involving her high-profile stock. These comprise Bowness Stud's shuttle sire Bullet Train (B. 2007), Frankel (B. 2008), Noble Mission (b. 2009) and Morpheus (B. 2010) in order of seniority.

Bullet TrainIt has very recently been announced that Noble Mission and Morpheus will be joining Bullet Train (GB) and Frankel in the worldwide stallion ranks for 2015, a move which clearly illustrates the international demand for the immediate members of this remarkable line. Noble Mission is to begin covering duties at Lane's End Farm in Kentucky, at the same as Morpheus is to be introduced as a first season stallion at Tally-Ho Stud in Ireland.

In discussing an arrangement that will see the recently crowned 2014 Cartier Older Horse Noble Mission stand in co-ownership with Juddmonte Farms, Lane's End owner Will Farish declared, "Juddmonte Farms has been an extraordinary breeding and racing operation over the years, and we're thrilled to be a part of this horse."

Tally-Ho Stud owner Tony O'Callaghan spoke in much the same terms when breaking the news of his new acquisition, "We are delighted Morpheus will be standing at Tally-Ho. He… will very much appeal to our clients and provide them with the opportunity to avail of the successful bloodlines developed by Juddmonte Farms."

Of course, Bullet Train and Frankel commenced their respective stud duties in 2013, the former in Kentucky and the latter in Newmarket. The next few weeks will witness another new chapter of their remarkable story as both have members of their first crops being offered at major bloodstock auctions overseas, including the 2014 Tattersalls December Foals Sale (November 26-29) later this month.

Bowness Stud is proud to remind broodmare owners of the fact that we are still the only thoroughbred nursery in Australasia standing one of the first four sons produced by Kind. Bullet Train is in the final stanza of serving his second book of mares in Australia after covering over 160 mares in his debut stud season in 2013.

Bookings for the 2014 breeding season are still being accepted for Bullet Train. For any further information please contact Bowness Stud principal JOHN NORTH on 0428 846 270.
