Newly
gelded Sebring three year-old Cyclone showed serious ability at two to finish
fourth in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic behind Unencumbered and finally
translated talent to a win at Canterbury on Friday night.
Now trained by Bjorn Baker after starting his career with Gai Waterhouse,
Cyclone made it look all too easy when cruising home to win the 1250 metre
maiden by more than two lengths at his seventh start.
A $260,000 Magic Millions purchase for Gai Waterhouse/James Harron Bloodstock
from the draft of Fig Tree Thoroughbreds, Cyclone was the most expensive
yearling by his sire sold at the Gold Coast in 2013.
Cyclone is a half-brother to stakes-placed Bewhatyouwannabe and is the fourth
winner from stakes-winner Bella Corona.
Now that he's turned the corner, Cyclone could easily emerge as another stakes performer for red hot young sire Sebring.
