Bylong Park Celebrate New Arrivals

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 20
Successful boutique breeding enterprise Bylong Park Thoroughbreds have already produced two Group I winning fillies by Fastnet Rock, both of whom now have full sisters on the ground this spring.

With combined earnings of nearly $5million, high class fillies Mosheen and Driefontein have been two of the brightest stars in the Fastnet Rock galaxy in recent years.

A Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner at two for Gai Waterhouse and Star Thoroughbreds, five year-old Driefontein trained on to win the Group I SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes last season and is still going strong.

Mosheen made a procession of the Group I VRC Oaks in 2011 before returning in the autumn to win the Group I VRC Australian Guineas, ATC Randwick Guineas and Vinery Stud Stakes and is now retired to stud in Japan.

Driefontein's dam Follow Gold was sent back to Fastnet Rock last year for the first time since she was born and last week delivered a filly by the champion sire.

Mosheen's dam Sumehra was also in foal to Fastnet Rock and she too has produced a filly to the great delight of all the team at Bylong Park.
