Half-Brother to Fine Bubbles to Sell at Inglis Ready2Race

Media Release - Friday September 19

The two-year-old half-brother to Group 3 NJC Tibbie Stakes winner Fine Bubbles is one of the top quality lots to be offered at The Star Ready2Race Sale.

By Magic Albert from Pekalan, the sibling to Fine Bubbles will go through Inglis' Newmarket sales ring in Sydney on 7 October 2014 asLot 97for MJI Thoroughbreds.

Fine Bubbles dashed away with the 1400m Tibbie Stakes by two lengths this afternoon in Newcastle. Ten days ago his younger sibling showcased his strong galloping action at the Ready2Race breeze ups on the grass at Cranbourne (pictured on right of the pair).

Ready2Race Sale graduates have been lighting up the racetracks in Australia and Asia in recent months. Inglis' Mark Webster (Managing Director) and Peter Twomey (Business Development Manager) were in Singapore and Hong Kong recently to deliver DVDs of this year's breeze ups and catch up on the progress of last year's successful crop.

"It was great to be on hand in Singapore last Friday evening to congratulate the connections of One United, which when winning on debut became the eighth Ready2Race Sale graduate to win in Singapore this year," said Webster.

"One United's owner selected the colt from last year's DVD and sent his representative down to Sydney to buy it for $72,500. It's his first horse and has won on debut with plenty of improvement to come.

"Buyers we have spoken to have been full of praise for last year's graduates and the format of the Ready2Race Sale – bringing together quality young stock from professional vendors, showcased on grass track breeze ups under minimal pressure," added Webster.

The eight Singapore winners averaged a breeze up time of 11.66 seconds prior to the 2013 Inglis Ready2Race Sale; from Twodollarmuppet at 10.58s on a Good 3 track to Snitzel Spirit which clocked 13.81s on a Heavy 10 rated surface.

This year's Ready2Race breeze ups were conducted in New Zealand (Slow 8), Sydney (Slow 6) and Victoria (Dead 5). All three different track conditions are noted on the breeze up videos. Completed times can be viewedHERE

Video footage of the breeze ups are available for viewing on InglisTV, at inglis.com.au, on the Inglis Sales iPad App and on DVDs, which can be requested by email tocatalogue@inglis.com.auor by calling the Sydney office +61 2 9399 7999.
