First Australian Foal for Dalakhani

Tara Madgwick - Friday July 25
Sire of seven Group I winners from progeny served at the Aga Khan Studs in Ireland, Monday morning saw the birth of the first Australian bred foal by Dalakhani (IRE) as a result his first season at Cornerstone Stud in South Australia last spring.

Dalakhani filly from I Need to FlyPerhaps fittingly, the filly foal is out of the Blevic mare I Need To Fly, so is bred on the same famous Dalakhani/Sadler's Wells cross that produced Group I ATC Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Reliable Man amongst others.

Cornerstone Stud's Ross Hatton commented, "The team here at the farm wish to wholeheartedly congratulate breeders Nigel and Helen Atkin on the birth of their beautiful Dalakhani filly, another first for the sire in Australia."

"Coincidentally Dalakhani will be stepping on to a plane in Heathrow this morning and due to land in Sydney on Satuday," Hatton continued.
